Departure time tbd | Depart school on a deluxe, climate-controlled and restroom-equipped motorcoach in time to arrive in Quebec City in the mid- to late-afternoon.. |
Stops on route – have the required documents for your border crossing into Canada | |
3:00-5:00pm | Meet your tour leader as you arrive at the historic Chateau Frontenac (or Clarendon Hotel within the old walls) or the Hotel Delta Québec (or Hilton) on Parliament Hill, directly across the street from the Assemblée Nationale, Québec’s provincial parliament building. Your arrival time is approximate. |
After checking in start your discovery with your tour manager and then depart for a walking orientation tour that will introduce you to the Quartier Latin and Vieux Québec in Upper and Lower Town. | |
Your tour will end with dinner in a Parisian style restaurant on St-Jean St. | |
6:30pm | Dinner. Trois Garçons |
8:30pm | After dinner, walk to the Terrasse Dufferin where you will pause for a group photograph on the boardwalk outside the Château Frontenac, then walk back to the hotel with your guide. |

Meet your guide in the lobby, then walk or transfer into the walled city for a full Canadian breakfast at 8:00am at Café Buade. |

11:30am | After the tour, you can have lunch on your own in the adjacent food court, OR transfer to les Galeries de la Capitale where, after lunch on your own in the international food court, you can take a ride on the indoor roller coaster or Ferris wheel, or practice your French in a few of les Galeries’ 250 boutiques and retail stores. |
1:30pm | After lunch, meet the bus and return to Village Vacances the largest winter sports facility in North America in the nearby village of Valcartier. There, upon arrival, you can try any of its 42 exciting inner tube and crazy carpet slides, or go ice skating on the 2.5 kilometer skating rink. |
5:00pm | Depart for dinner at an authentic French-Canadian cabane à sucre. |
5:30pm | After an all-you-can-eat dinner of typical Québécois fare, you’ll learn some traditional dances and folk songs, and your evening will end with a sugar-on-snow party, with real maple syrup and real snow (stored in the winter and served every day of the year). |
8:30pm | Board the bus at and transfer back to the hotel in Quebec City. |

Meet your tour leader in the lobby, then transfer to the Quartier Petit Champlain for a 9:00am French breakfast of large fresh croissants and a bowl of café au lait or chocolat chaud at le Cochon Dingue. |
9:30am | Depart for a visit to Parc de la Chutes Montmorency, the site of the first battle between Generals Wolfe and Montcalm took place during the epochal summer of 1759. In winter, the spray freezes on the rock faces around the falls, making them a challenge for ice climbers. Other visitors can take advantage of the “Sugarloaf,” 100-foot-high mountain formed from the mist from the falls. |
11:15am | Continue on to the Basilique Ste-Anne. There you will visit the magnificent Basilique Sainte-Anne-de- Beaupré, an internationally famous gothic cathedral, that is renowned for its huge proportions and superb stained glass windows. |
12:30pm | Return to city for lunch on your own |
2:00pm | Walk or transfer to the National Battlefields Commission’s Martello Tower. |
3:30pm-4:30pm | Scavenger Treasure Hunt in Upper Town |
4:30pm | Return to hotel and prepare for evening dinner |
5:30pm | Walk or transfer to dinner at Louis Hebert |
6:00pm | Arrive at Louis Hebert |
7:45pm | After dinner, your group can walk to les Glissades de la Terrasse, Québec’s famous toboggan slide that’s constructed on the boardwalk outside the Château Frontenac every winter. |
There you’ll spend the evening taking exhilarating 300-metre rides on “la luge”, or ice-skating on the outdoor rink overlooking the frozen St. Lawrence River. Warm up if you need to with a cup of a chocolat chaud in the heated gazebo at the bottom of the toboggan slide. | |

Day 4 / Jour 4 | |

Meet your tour leader in the lobby and walk to La Buche |
8:00am | Breakfast at La Buche |
9:15am | Meet your motorcoach and depart for the Huron Wendat village |
10:00am | Visit the Village Hurons Wendat, where students will experience first hand the customs and traditions of the native culture of the Hurons. |
12:30am | Return to city for lunch on their own |

2:30pm | Morrin Center Quebec, a nationally recognized heritage site and leading English-language cultural centre located in the heart of historic Old Quebec City. |
4:00pm | Return to hotel and change for this evening dinner and activity. |
5:30pm | Arrive at Dinner at L’Entrecote St-Jean |
7:00pm | Put on your caps, mittens and snowshoes and learn about winter sports practised on the Plains of Abraham. Join a snowshoer from the early 20th century and relive the Belle Époque of these winter strolls. This is a one-of-a-kind recreational activity that will make you shiver with delight. |
9:00pm | Walk back to the hotel in Quebec City. |

Take the funiculaire to the Upper Town | |
