Day 1: Arrival in Quebec City

Departure time tbd | Depart school on a deluxe, climate-controlled and restroom-equipped motorcoach in time to arrive in Quebec City in the mid- to late-afternoon. |
Stops on route – have the required documents for your border crossing into Canada | |
3:00-5:00pm | Meet your tour leader as you arrive at the historic Chateau Frontenac (or Clarendon Hotel within the old walls) or the Hotel Delta Québec (or Hilton) on Parliament Hill, directly across the street from the Assemblée Nationale, Québec’s provincial parliament building. Your arrival time is approximate. |
After checking in start your discovery with your tour manager and then depart for a walking orientation tour that will introduce you to the Quartier Latin and Vieux Québec in Upper and Lower Town. | |
Your tour will end with dinner in gastropub style restaurant on St-Jean St. | |
6:30pm | Dinner Trois Garçons |
8:30pm | After dinner, walk to the Terrasse Dufferin where you will pause for a group photograph on the boardwalk outside the Château Frontenac, then walk back to the hotel with your guide. |

Day 2
8:30am | Meet your guide in the lobby, then walk or transfer into the walled city for a full Canadian breakfast at 8:00am at Café Buade. |

11:30am | Lunch on your own in Upper or Lower Town |
1:30pm | Visite the Musée de la Civilisation |
3:30pm | Meet your motorcoach in lower and shuttle to the Complexe G |
4:30pm | See Quebec from the top of Complexe G observatory |
5:30pm | Depart for dinner at an authentic French-Canadian cabane à sucre. |
6:00pm | Enjoy an evening at the Cabane a Sucre. After your all-you-can-eat dinner of typical Québécois fare, you’ll learn some traditional dances and folk songs, and your evening will end with a sugar-on-snow party, with real maple syrup and real snow (stored in the winter and served every day of the year). |
8:30pm | Board the bus at and transfer back to the hotel in Quebec City. |
9:00pm | Return to hotel |

Day 3
7:45am | Meet your tour leader in the lobby, then transfer to the Quartier Petit Champlain for a 9:00am French breakfast of large fresh croissants and a bowl of café au lait or chocolat chaud at le Cochon Dingue. |
9:00am | Depart for a visit to Parc de la Chutes Montmorency, the site of the first battle between Generals Wolfe and Montcalm took place during the epochal summer of 1759. In winter, the spray freezes on the rock faces around the falls. |
10:30am | Continue on to the Basilique Ste-Anne. There you will visit the magnificent Basilique Sainte-Anne-de- Beaupré, an internationally famous gothic cathedral, that is renowned for its huge proportions and superb stained glass windows. |
12:30pm | After the tour, you can have lunch on your own in the adjacent food court, OR transfer to les Galeries de la Capitale where, after lunch on your own in the international food court, you can take a ride on the indoor roller coaster or Ferris wheel, or practice your French in a few of les Galeries’ 250 boutiques and retail stores. |
2:30pm | Visit the Village Hurons Wendat, where students will experience first hand the customs and traditions of the native culture of the Hurons. |
4:30pm-5:30pm | Scavenger Treasure Hunt in Upper Town (optional) |
5:30pm | Walk or transfer to dinner at Louis Hebert |
6:00pm | Dinner at the Louis Hebert |
7:45pm | Walk or transfer to the National Battlefields Commission’s Martello Tower. (Or Plains of Abraham “Le Militaire” activity) |
10:00pm | Overnight security services begin upon arrival at the hotel at 10:00pm. |
Day 4
8:00am | Meet your tour leader in the lobby and walk to La Buche |
8:30am | Breakfast at La Buche |
10:00am | Morrin Center Quebec, a nationally recognized heritage site and leading English-language cultural centre located in the heart of historic Old Quebec City. |
12:00pm | Lunch on your own in Upper Town |
2:20pm | Get a guided tour of the iconic and world renowned Chateau Frontenac |
5:00pm | Return to hotel and change for this evening dinner and activity. |
6:30pm | Arrive at Dinner at L’Entrecote St-Jean for a parisian style “steak frites” dinner. |
9:00pm | Walk back to the hotel in Quebec City. |
11:00pm | Overnight security |
Day 5
6:30am | After an early wake-up call, pack your bags and drop off for motorcoach pick-up |
Assemble in the hotel lobby, then walk with your guide to an 7:30am | |
8:00am | Breakfast at le Cafe Les Mordus. |
9:45am | Visit the Musee du Fort Here students will be immersed in the events of the Battle of the Plains of Abraham, a pivotal battle that would determine the course of history of North America |
11:00am | Meet motorcoach to load luggage on bus |

Take the funiculaire to the Lower Town | |
Lunch on your own on rue du Petit Champlain | |
Take the ferry and say au revoir to Quebec City | |
Motorcoach meets your group on the Levis side of the ferry. | |
